EarPods with EarPods (USB-C) (MFI)

Some cable testers, such as Qianli, might incorrectly identify these EarPods as imitations, even though they are truly MFI certified. (MFi certification stands for Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad, and it’s a program that accessory producers for these devices must undergo to have their hardware approved by Apple.) It’s a stringent process, but when a product is MFi-certified, you can be sure it’s safe to use.

Please do not confuse this cable with an Apple Lightning cable purchased from the Apple store, as it bears a similarity to an OEM Apple product. Apple products can only be purchased from Apple or major retailers such as BestBuy. Needless to say, anyone claiming their products are genuine Apple products might not be entirely truthful about their offerings.
